A Shorter Semester, 2 Big Studio Projects
Cardboard Shipping Project: Tasked with creating a sculpture primarily made of cardboard, after being given a limited 5’x5’ sheet of cardboard. We then had to ship the project through the postal service, whether to yourself or a friend. I was able to use my newfound love of textiles to create a piece that felt uniquely on brand for me.
Trojan Horse Project: First big woodworking project, students were tasked with creating a wooden sculpture with something “unexpected” hiding inside. I created a “flower bomb” being inspired by my professor’s work, who specializes in creating three‑dimensional polyhedrons, and my love for florals.
