I originally went to school for Civil Engineering, but after a rough first semester I turned to what I have always been passionate about, art. I switched to Communication, Media, and Design and suddenly my schedule switched from all STEM and one art elective to all art classes and one STEM elective. After a semester or two I decided I wanted to minor in Studio Arts and realized I already had or was planning on taking most of the required courses. COMD at RPI is relatively new and I don’t have access to the same resources I would at an art school, but I am grateful for the courses I was able to take that put me on the path to where I am as an artist.
